Mazin Nakhleh, DDS
Dr. Nakhleh has built his reputation based on uncompromising clinical excellence, meticulous attention to detail and a warm, gregarious personality. Dr. Nakhleh’s expertise includes a diverse array of services including (but not limited to) dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers, endodontics, oral surgery and full-mouth rehabilitation. His experience and knowledge allow him to diagnose and treat dental needs in our office that most practices refer out to specialists. Dr. Nakhleh does not believe in “one size fits all” dentistry. Each case is carefully considered and resolved with the patient’s concerns and long-term care in mind. Dr. Nakhleh’s artistry and creativity allow each patient to attain the smile of their dreams.
He has lived in the Dallas area since 1978, attended Baylor College of Dentistry, and currently resides in McKinney with his wife, Cindy, and children, Michael and Lauren.
Shohreh Sharifi, DDS
Dr. Sharifi is a Dallas native of Iranian origin. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, and besides being an excellent dentist, she is a talented artist. She grew up in the Park Central Dental practice as a patient first and then a front office employee. She was mentored as an assistant to Dr. Nakhleh while working on her undergraduate degree. As of 2012, she has been a senior member of our dentistry team. Dr. Sharifi received her Bachelors of Science and Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas and was pursuing her Masters degree in Neuroscience when she was accepted to dental school at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. She graduated with honors from Texas A&M College of Dentistry in 2005 and has been practicing ever since. Dr. Sharifi is fluent in English, Spanish and Farsi. She is an excellent communicator regardless of which language she is speaking. Dr. Sharifi has two small children herself. She is excellent with children and has a very gentle touch and technique. We couldn’t be more proud to have a dentist of her caliber and history working in the practice she has been a part of for over 35 years.
Laura Fisher, DDS
Dr. Fisher received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Southern Utah University. She then attended dental school at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, graduating with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2013. She is passionate about continuing education and has pursued advanced training in Invisalign® clear aligners and implant dentistry.
Dr. Fisher practiced dentistry in Utah from 2013-2022 before coming to Dallas and joining our team at Park Central Dental. As a dentist, she is committed to providing comprehensive care and developing lasting relationships with her patients. Her goal is to provide quality dentistry that will help her patients achieve the beautiful, healthy smile of their dreams.
Dr. Fisher grew up in Utah as one of eight children. She knew she wanted to be a dentist from a young age and has always had a passion for teeth. This passion now shows as she cares for patients with enthusiasm for the profession. One of her favorite things to do is help calm dental anxieties and assist patients to feel comfortable in the dental chair. Quality dentistry that creates beautiful healthy smiles is what gets her excited to come to the office every day.
Sandra McCarthy, DDS
Dr. McCarthy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Texas after graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry in order to complete a specialty program in prosthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry. She has combined her careers of private practice in prosthodontics and of teaching the same for over 30 years. She has been a member of several dental organizations including the Dallas County Dental Society, The Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association® and the Texas Association of Women Dentists, of which she was an officer for several years. She focuses her private practice endeavors on removable prosthodontics (partial dentures and full dentures) as well as full-arch implant prosthodontics. She enjoys treatment planning and doing complex treatments and often combines efforts with Dr. Nakhleh and other doctors in the office to fulfill the multitude of
dental needs of her patients including varied dental treatments, aesthetic demands and financial needs. “We try to meet the needs of the individual person, whatever that may be.”
Dr. McCarthy and her husband have been married since 1983 and have two daughters and two grandsons. She enjoys long road trips with her husband, swimming, reading, gardening and bird watching. Family gatherings are a huge enjoyment for her, and holidays are the best!
