Oral cancer, like all forms of cancer, can be life-threatening. However, when oral cancer is diagnosed early it is one of the most treatable forms of cancer. Dr. Mazin Nakhleh, Dr. Laura Fisher or Dr. Shohreh Sharifi will check for signs of oral cancer during your regular dental exams to ensure that this disease is diagnosed as early as possible so you can begin receiving the care you need.
What is Oral Cancer?
Oral cancer includes all cancers of the lips, tongue, floor of the mouth, cheeks, throat, sinuses, and hard and soft palates. Our dentists and team are dedicated to diagnosing and treating oral cancers and other abnormalities at the earliest possible stage, and will coordinate your care with your medical physician to ensure you receive the treatments you need. We strongly encourage you to make and keep regular dental appointments so that you can receive oral cancer screenings and increase your chances of successful diagnosis and treatment for this condition.
